The Development Assistant reports to Head of Development, BBC Wales Drama and works in close conjunction with the development team to provide editorial and administrative support. BBC Wales Drama produces popular series such as Doctor Who.  

Main responsibilities will include providing editorial and administrative support to Head of Drama, Head of Development and the development team, in order to provide an effective and efficient development system for the department across both in-house and Independent drama developments.

Our ideal candidate will possess knowledge and experience of Drama output and development, a demonstrable passion for Drama and an awareness of material currently in development and potential gaps. You will have experience of script reading and writing script reports with an ability to demonstrate sound editorial judgement and sensitivity, both verbally and on paper. Excellent research, organisational and presentation skills are essential, as well as strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate administration systems.
