An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Communications Officer to join Health Technology Wales (HTW). The purpose of HTW is to identify, appraise, promote, enable and measure the adoption of health technologies across NHS Wales, linking into national agendas for innovation and prudent healthcare.

We are seeking to recruit a creative, motivated and experienced communication professional, to be an integral part of our team. As the HTW Communications Officer, you’ll be a communications lead who supports the delivery of our internal and external communications and engagement strategies, and responsible for the communication and promotion of helping to communicate and promote our work at a national and international level. The role will involve helping to design and deliver communication and engagement plans and producing various types of communications (both traditional and digital) for a wide range of audiences.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience of implementing effective communications plans and engaging with key stakeholders, including members of the public. You’ll need exceptional writing/editorial skills and talent in generating creative and insightful story/press releases. You’ll have excellent social media skills, the ability to create visual and written content for all of our internal and external channels, and experience in using the WordPress Content Management System (CMS). You’ll need to work on your own initiative, and be able to deal with reactive and proactive media work.

This is a permanent opportunity with HTW. It will be necessary to spend time at the HTW office in Cardiff Bay but flexible working can be considered.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
