Welcome to the Creative Cardiff blog where we aim to showcase our city’s immense creativity together in one place. Throughout the year we will be marketing the city’s contribution to the creative industries and keeping you abreast of our numerous events, businesses and organisations that come together to make up Cardiff’s vibrant creative and cultural offering, culminating in the city’s hosting of WOMEX in October 2013.

In Autumn 2012, Cardiff Contemporary champions visual arts in the city and Artes Mundi, one of the world’s biggest art prizes is in town. The Cardiff Design Festival is celebrating the best in Welsh design and Cardiff Music Festival and Sŵn Festival give us a wide choice of live music from classical to indie.

For film lovers, Soundtrack brings international film and music together and the Iris Prize, Cardiff’s International gay and lesbian short film prize showcases new work from around the world. In November and December Cardiff University’s Creative Minds explores literature in all its forms. Find out what’s happening during the year by following us on twitter or joining us on facebook.
